The eternal stuggle
I received my first image-based spam today that was clearly designed to thwart optical character recognition. This is just getting out of hand.

Do people actually fall for spams which aren’t even remotely “professional” looking?

i was attempting to build ocamltex on my mac (10.4). all my software’s up to date, but I get a fail.
This is not a rush, but I thought it would be cool to leverage my ocaml beginnings with LaTeX something I use frequently.
I’ve not much experience with makefiles. Here’s the dump:
File “ocamltex.ml”, line 28, characters 0-9:
Unbound module Cash
*** omake: 17/22 targets are up to date
*** omake: failed (0.9 sec, 0/2 scans, 1/4 rules, 1/80 digests)
*** omake: targets were not rebuilt because of errors:
ocamltex.cmo
ocamltex.cmi

Sounds like you don’t have CaSH installed.

Well, I expect that people must fall for spams of any variety, or people wouldn’t bother. It is probably just that even though it is a very small percentage, it is enough on the total amount of spam sent to make it worthwhile.
