As for &quot;modern&quot; serifs, I too personally prefer the more robust appearance one gets from fonts like Warnock, Minion, Arno, etc.  

The student I had working with me on the ScalaTeX project totally dropped the ball and did essentially nothing for the entire semester :-/</description>

		<description>I don&#039;t understand why people hate Comic Sans, it&#039;s easy to read, and for presentations - without math - it&#039;s way better than using Modern Serif.  It&#039;s obvious that fonts are very subjective, I for one hate Modern Serif mainly due to the stems being so thin, instead I prefer to typeset with Warnock, Minion or Times.
